Terms of service

Last updated: 7 July 2026

Thank you for choosing Pretty Woman. These Terms of Service explain how appointments, bookings, services, packages, gift cards and online purchases work when you book with us or use our website.

Please read these Terms carefully before booking or buying from us. By booking an appointment, buying a service, purchasing a gift card, making an enquiry, paying a deposit or using our website, you agree to these Terms.

2. Using our website

You may use our website to browse services, make enquiries, buy gift cards, book appointments, and purchase selected services or packages.

You agree not to misuse our website, interfere with its security, copy content without permission, submit false information, or use the website for unlawful purposes.

We may update, change or remove website content, services, prices, offers or availability at any time. If you have already made a confirmed booking, the terms and price agreed at the time of booking will usually apply unless we both agree otherwise or a legal change requires an update.

3. Services we provide

Pretty Woman provides beauty services including, but not limited to:

BIAB, gel nails, hard gel extensions, pedicures, makeup, hairstyling, wedding services, kids pamper parties, gift cards and related services.

Descriptions, prices, inclusions and options are shown on the relevant service page or confirmed to you in writing. We try to make all descriptions and prices accurate, but if we notice an error before accepting your booking, we will contact you to correct it.

Service results can vary depending on your natural nails, skin, hair, previous treatments, aftercare, lifestyle, allergies, sensitivities and the condition of the area being treated. Photos, examples and previous work are for guidance only and do not guarantee an identical result.

4. Bookings and contract formation

A booking is not confirmed until we have accepted it and, where required, you have paid the requested deposit, booking fee or full amount.

A contract is formed between you and Pretty Woman when we confirm your booking, accept your payment, or otherwise confirm in writing that your appointment or package is secured.

For bookings made online, by phone, by message, by email or through social media, you are responsible for checking that all booking details are correct, including the date, time, service, location, number of people and any extras.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown on our website, booking system, quote, invoice or written confirmation.

All prices are in pounds sterling. Prices may change from time to time, but this will not affect confirmed bookings unless the booking is changed, upgraded or corrected due to an obvious pricing error.

Payment may be required in full or in part at the time of booking. Some bookings require a deposit or booking fee to secure the appointment. Any remaining balance must be paid by the due date stated in your booking confirmation, invoice or service description.

For kids pamper parties, a 50% deposit is usually required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due on the day of the party unless agreed otherwise.

For wedding bookings, the deposit, trial costs, travel charges and balance due dates will be confirmed at the time of booking or in your wedding quote.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse a booking if payment is not received when due.

6. Deposits and booking fees

Deposits and booking fees are used to reserve time, prepare for your appointment, cover administration, and protect against late cancellations or no-shows.

Where a cancellation charge applies under our Refund and Cancellation Policy, we may retain your deposit or booking fee and/or charge the balance of the applicable cancellation fee.

If we cancel your appointment and cannot offer a suitable alternative, we will refund any amount you have paid for the cancelled service, unless the cancellation is due to your breach of these Terms.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

7. Cancellation, rescheduling and no-shows

Our full cancellation rules are set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

In summary:

Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a standard appointment.

If you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, we may charge 50% of the service price.

Same-day cancellations and no-shows may be charged at 100% of the service price.

If you are more than 15 minutes late and have not contacted us, we may need to cancel or shorten your appointment, and the appointment may still be chargeable.

Wedding bookings, kids pamper parties, group bookings, packages, trial appointments and mobile services may have additional cancellation terms because extra time, planning, travel, stock, staffing or preparation may be involved.

8. Online and distance bookings

Some bookings or purchases may be made online, by phone, by message, by email or through social media. Where UK distance-selling cancellation rights apply, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days.

Many beauty appointments, event bookings, wedding bookings and party bookings are booked for a specific date and time. Different rules may apply to services provided on a specific date, services that begin during the 14-day period at your request, or services that have already been fully performed.

By booking an appointment that takes place within 14 days, you request that we begin providing the service during any cancellation period that may apply. If the service has already been provided, or if we have already carried out chargeable work, preparation, trials, travel or planning at your request, you may be required to pay for the services provided and reasonable costs incurred.

Our Refund and Cancellation Policy explains this in more detail.

9. Arrival and lateness

Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you expect to be late, please contact us as soon as possible.

If you are late, we may need to shorten the service, adapt the service, remove part of the treatment, or cancel the appointment. The full appointment price may still be payable.

This is because late arrival can affect the quality of your service and the appointments booked after yours.

10. Health, allergies and safety

You must tell us before your appointment if you have any allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions, nail conditions, eye conditions, scalp conditions, infections, injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy-related concerns, medication changes, previous reactions to beauty products, or anything else that may affect the service.

You must also tell us if you have had a previous reaction to gel polish, BIAB, hard gel, nail products, adhesives, cosmetics, skincare, hair products, latex, fragrance, tint, glue, glitter, face masks or any other beauty product.

We may ask you to complete a consultation form or allergy/safety form before your service. We may also recommend or require a patch test for certain products or services.

We reserve the right to refuse, adapt, postpone or stop a service where we believe it may be unsafe, unsuitable, unlawful, or not in your best interests.

If you fail to disclose relevant information and we cannot safely carry out the service, cancellation charges may apply.

11. Contraindications

We may be unable to carry out a treatment if you have symptoms or conditions such as infection, contagious conditions, broken skin, open wounds, swelling, severe irritation, unexplained rash, eye infection, nail infection, suspected allergic reaction, or any other condition that makes the service unsuitable.

This is for your safety, our safety and the safety of other clients.

If you are unsure whether a service is suitable, please contact us before booking.

12. Children and under-18s

We offer selected children’s pamper party services for children aged 5+ when booked by a parent or guardian.

A responsible adult must be present throughout any children’s party or appointment involving children. Pretty Woman does not provide childcare, supervision or safeguarding responsibility for children attending a party or appointment.

Children’s services are age-appropriate and may include activities such as mini manicure, mini pedicure, hairstyling, soft glittery makeup, face masks, glitter tattoos, games, decorations and party extras, depending on the package booked.

We do not provide adult nail enhancements, BIAB, hard gel extensions or other adult beauty treatments to under-16s unless expressly agreed in advance and only where we consider the service age-appropriate and safe.

Clients aged 16–18 may require parent or guardian consent for certain services.

For children’s parties, the booking adult is responsible for providing accurate details about allergies, sensitivities, dietary needs, medical concerns, permissions and emergency contact information for the children attending.

13. Kids pamper parties

Kids pamper parties are mobile or event-style services designed for birthdays and special occasions.

The party package, number of children, extras, activities, gift bags, travel requirements, timings and price will be confirmed at the time of booking.

A 50% deposit is normally required to secure the date, with the remaining balance due on the day unless agreed otherwise.

The booking adult must ensure:

A responsible adult is present throughout the party.

The space is safe, clean and suitable for the service.

There is suitable access, lighting, seating, parking and set-up space.

All parents or guardians have provided any required permissions.

All allergies, sensitivities, skin conditions, medical concerns and dietary requirements are disclosed before the party.

Children follow reasonable safety instructions during the party.

Pretty Woman may refuse to carry out an activity on a child if we believe it is unsafe or unsuitable.

14. Wedding bookings

Wedding services may include bridal hair, bridal makeup, bridal party styling, trials, travel and related services, depending on the package booked.

Wedding package inclusions, trial options, number of people, location, travel allowance, early start requirements and extras will be shown on the relevant service page or confirmed in your quote.

Where a wedding package includes trial sessions, those trials have a separate value. If you cancel after one or more trials have taken place, the cost of completed trials may be deducted from any refund due.

Wedding prices may include travel within a stated mileage area. Additional travel, parking, accommodation, early start times, larger bridal parties, location changes or extra services may be charged separately.

You must provide accurate information about the wedding date, ceremony time, preparation address, number of people, access, parking, timings, allergies and any other relevant details.

We recommend booking wedding trials well in advance. If you need to change a wedding date, we will try to accommodate the new date, but we cannot guarantee availability.

15. Mobile services and travel

Some services, including weddings and kids pamper parties, may take place away from our appointment location.

Where we travel to you, you are responsible for providing accurate location details, parking information, access details and any venue restrictions.

Additional charges may apply for travel, parking, tolls, congestion charges, waiting time, early starts, late finishes, or locations outside our included travel area.

If we arrive and cannot access the venue, cannot park, cannot safely provide the service, or are delayed due to incorrect information, the booking may still be chargeable.

16. Gift cards

Gift cards are available for purchase through our website in selected denominations.

Gift cards are redeemable against eligible Pretty Woman services or purchases, subject to availability and any restrictions stated at the time of purchase.

Gift cards do not expire.

Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash, resold, transferred for value, or used to buy another gift card.

Lost, stolen or damaged gift cards may not be replaceable unless you can provide sufficient proof of purchase and we are able to verify the unused balance.

Gift cards must be used before expiry. Any unused balance remaining after expiry may be lost, unless we agree otherwise or the law requires otherwise.

If a gift card was purchased online and has not been used, cancellation rights may apply as set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

17. Offers, packages and promotions

Offers, discounts, packages and promotions are subject to availability and may be withdrawn or changed at any time before booking.

Offers cannot usually be used with any other offer, exchanged for cash, applied retrospectively, or transferred unless we agree otherwise.

Package inclusions must be used as described. Missed appointments, late cancellations or no-shows may result in part of a package being forfeited or charged.

18. Aftercare

You are responsible for following any aftercare advice provided.

Aftercare may include avoiding water, heat, oil, picking, biting, impact, chemicals, sunbeds, swimming, heavy cleaning, or certain products for a period after your treatment.

Failure to follow aftercare advice may affect the result and longevity of your treatment.

If you have a concern after your treatment, please contact us as soon as possible and ideally within 24 hours so we can assess the issue.

19. Complaints and concerns

We want you to be happy with your service.

If you are unhappy with a treatment or service, please contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours. Please include your name, appointment date, service received, a description of the concern and, where helpful, clear photos.

Please do not remove, alter or have another salon change the treatment before giving us the opportunity to assess it, as this may limit what we can do to help.

Where appropriate, we may offer advice, an assessment, correction, repeat performance, price reduction or refund. The remedy offered will depend on the circumstances and your statutory rights.

20. Photos, reviews and social media

We may ask to take photos or videos of your nails, makeup, hair, event set-up or finished look for our records, portfolio, website, social media or marketing.

We will ask for your consent before using identifiable photos or videos for marketing.

For children, we will require consent from a parent or guardian before using identifiable photos or videos.

You can withdraw consent for future use at any time by contacting us. We may not be able to remove images already printed, shared by others, or published in materials outside our direct control, but we will take reasonable steps where possible.

21. Behaviour and refusal of service

We reserve the right to refuse, stop or cancel a service if a client or guest behaves in an abusive, threatening, discriminatory, unsafe or inappropriate way.

We may also refuse or stop a service if a client appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fails to follow safety instructions, provides false information, or creates an unsafe environment.

Cancellation charges may apply in these circumstances.

22. Personal belongings

Please take care of your personal belongings during your appointment or event.

We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings unless caused by our negligence.

23. Our responsibility to you

We will provide services with reasonable care and skill.

We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or breach of your statutory rights.

Subject to the above, we are not responsible for indirect losses, loss of enjoyment, loss of opportunity, loss of income, or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made.

24. Events outside our control

We are not responsible for failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control. This may include illness, accidents, severe weather, transport disruption, power failure, venue issues, supplier issues, emergencies, government restrictions or other circumstances we could not reasonably avoid.

If this happens, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and try to reschedule or provide a suitable solution.

25. Privacy

We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Please read our Privacy Policy to understand what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.

26. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business, website, legal requirements or policies.

The version published on our website at the time of your booking will usually apply to that booking unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.

27. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory legal rights you have under the laws of the country or part of the UK where you live.
